Advantages and Disadvantages of Online Education

There is a long talk about advantages and disadvantages of online degrees, many people find them to be completely fine and great for their needs others think that employers doesn’t gives much importance and they have less value than attending the on-site colleges. here I’ll be explaining what you’ll get and what you’ll lose by taking online courses.

Advantages:

Convenience: The biggest advantage you’ll have is that you won’t have to worry about the schedule for going to the classroom you can study whenever and wherever you want so it won’t trouble your busy schedule this is very beneficial for those who are working because then you won’t get much time to study and most of the classes are in morning and you become too tired to visit college in evening so you can easily study from your home.

Cost-Effective: Even though the cost for the programs may remain same but you’ll be saving some valuable money like traveling cost, hostel room, some learning material cost and canteen cost that you might have to pay when you’ll visit traditional colleges.

Anonymity: There are some people that are very shy to interact with other students, but even though you won’t have direct contact with others you can still be connected to them through online discussion boards, chats and emails. Even saves you from those oral tests which you give in your classrooms.

Disadvantages

Program Cost: You can save some valuable money by not visiting the college itself but still many colleges have courses cost based on their reputation so you may have to pay the same amount for the courses. So, don’t think it will be any less costly than the actual university fees.

No Social Life: Now, This is the thing that I prefer classrooms because you can participate in so many activities that you may miss just because you are not going to the college, there are prom nights, concerts, events that you may miss, and you cannot make new friends whom you can actually meet but some people just don’t want to go online colleges are good for those specially that are not going to participate in such activities whatsoever.

Degree Value: Many of the accredited colleges do offer online programs but there are also those that do not have good reputation but offer online courses and there degrees have very less value so I suggest the students to look carefully into the college background before taking admission in any one.

I hope this clears many things to the students and everyone can think best for themselves
